Senior Consultant: Dr. Jo Mynard
Jo Mynard is an Associate Professor at Kanda University of International Studies in Japan. She is the Director of the Self-Access Learning Centre, Assistant Director of the English Language Institute and Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Language Studies and Language Education. She has been involved in the field of language education since 1993 and has experience of working in Spain, Ireland, England, the United Arab Emirates and Japan. She has consulted on self-access projects in the UAE, Mexico, Japan and Thailand. She holds an M.Phil. in Applied Linguistics from Trinity College, University of Dublin and a Doctorate in Education from the University of Exeter in the UK. She is the editor of SiSAL Journal (Studies in Self-Access Learning Journal), a peer-reviewed quarterly publication published by Kanda University of International Studies. She recently established an academic epublishing company “Candlin & Mynard ePublishing” with Professor Christopher Candlin

vid McLoughlin is an Associate Professor at Meiji University in Tokyo. His areas of professional interest are learner development, motivation and attribution theory as applied to language learning. He has an M.Phil in applied linguistics from Trinity College, Dublin and Ed.D. in TEFL from the University of Exeter in the UK.
